OptiMSM® is a premium form of Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), an organic sulfur compound and methyl groups, which supports healthy joints and protects cartilage. (1) MSM occurs naturally in a variety of fruits, vegetables, grains and animals. Sulfur is thought to help in the cross linking of proteoglycans and collagen, which are the building blocks of joint cartilage, contributing to MSM’s beneficial effect on joints. In a clinical study, participants took 3 grams of methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) twice daily for twelve weeks, showed improved function and mobility. (2)
